This Privacy Policy describes how the Custom Color GCal Chrome extension ("the Extension", "we", "our") handles data when you use it. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring full transparency about our practices.

2. Data We Collect

The Extension does not collect any personal data.

The Extension stores the following information locally on your device only, using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

• Customization preferences: colors, fonts, sizes, and styles you apply to your Google Calendar events
• Customization rules: patterns you create to apply styles to recurring events (chains)
• Encrypted event titles: for events you choose to protect with a PIN code, the original title is encrypted using AES-GCM 256-bit encryption with PBKDF2 key derivation
• Extension settings: auto-lock timeout, language preferences

⚠️ Important: Your PIN code is never stored in any form. It is used only as input to derive an encryption key, which is discarded immediately after use.
